Stratford, CT—United Aero Group, an aviation processes and components management service provider, is pleased to announce that Bristow Helicopters has notified the company of completion of an exhaustive capability assessment and named United Aero Group as a registered parts and service supplier to Bristow.
Bristow Helicopters is the leading provider of industrial aviation services and is the largest operator of helicopters in the world, with a fleet of approximately 500 aircraft. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Bristow has major operations in the North Sea, Nigeria, the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, and in most of the other major offshore oil and gas producing regions of the world, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Russia and Trinidad. Bristow provides search and rescue (SAR) services to the private sector in Australia, Canada, Guyana, Norway, Russia and Trinidad, and to the public sector for all of the UK on behalf of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.
In order to be registered with Bristow, United Aero Group was required to demonstrate its full qualifications, from ISO certification and credit strength, to service expertise, industry knowledge, and reputation.
United Aero Group’s multi-month ISO certification and compliance vetting process was skillfully led by co-founder and COO Josh Gelder, with management of Bristow’s account directly conducted by John Amoroso, manager of the company’s Sales and Repairs team. John has extensive experience in providing service to Bristow, with years of previous management of that company’s needs while employed as repairs manager for Helicopter Support Inc. (HSI), a subsidiary of Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation since 1998, now known as Sikorsky Commercial, Inc. Under Josh, United Aero Group has earned the key aviation certifications of ISO 9001:2008 and AS9120a, registered with the US State (DDTC) and Commerce Departments (BIS), and is also a registered contractor with to the United Nations.
