United Aero Group Team Continues to Grow

February 15, 2021. Shelton, CT. Continuing its targeted expansion, BrightWater United Aero Group (UAG) is pleased to announce three additional appointments to its industry-leading team.

John Plume joins UAG as the Director of Programs and will be responsible for the management of UAG’s OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Agreements. John and his team will manage the existing General Electric T700 Engine Program, Honeywell and Bendix King Avionics, and the UAG/Sikorsky Aircraft S-61 Distribution Agreement. He will also be responsible for the life cycle support of these Programs and the development of additional long-term agreements with both the supplier and customer base. John joins the growing team at UAG adding targeted experience in international and domestic aircraft sales and leasing, introduction of new product and service lines, aviation business development, and sales management.

Prior to UAG, John spent 19 years as a Vice President of Sales in Aircraft Charter/Management/FBO/Maintenance, and in 2013 founded JetAdvocates where he worked with numerous corporate clients, aircraft operators, and MRO’s around the world. His experience as a proven aircraft sales & leasing professional along with his business development background will further contribute to the success of UAG. Joining the company represents a homecoming of sorts for John as he was previously a student at both the Taft School and Fairfield University and has re-settled in Connecticut.

Caitlin Marino has joined UAG as the Customer Service Manager in the Repairs department. With over a decade of experience working as an account manager, she excels at developing close working relationships with both customers and suppliers within the aerospace MRO industry. Beyond her client-facing abilities, Caitlin brings advanced skills in aerospace data management allowing her to act as a knowledgable hub for the company’s Pentagon parts, client management and metadata tagging systems.

Caitlin studied Paralegal Studies at Naugatuck Valley Community College, a background that provides UAG contract compliance with additional capability in legal document control support.

Prior to her position at United Aero Group, Caitlin worked as an Account Manager for RUAG, Inc., where she managed the full repair process including sales, & procurement as well as imports & exports.

Patrick Riddle has taken on leadership of a wide range of projects as Business Development Director at UAG.

Pat’s decades of experience in materials, supply chain management, cost reduction, e-commerce initiatives and organizational development gives UAG even greater aviation industry relationship management expertise as well as related industry integration knowledge.

Pat has held senior management positions at Sikorsky, Allied Signal, and PerkinElmer. At Roche Applied Science he served as head of procurement, and at Farrel he supervised purchasing, inventory, and distribution, as well as oversaw both indirect and union associates. He has experience in extending kanban programs with automated replenishment (min/max) triggers and has consolidated warehousing, overseen technology-based materials management initiatives, operations, and managed local and global supply chains. He is multi-credentialed in project and program management, holding an MBA from University of New Haven, a BS from Sacred Heart, and Six Sigma and Lean Institute certifications.
